South Tyrol - moments that inspire
Breathtaking nature. Unique discovery.
The South Tyrol holiday region comprises the northernmost province of Italy and its capital city Bolzano. South Tyrol is a point of intersection for many cultures, e.g. Ladin and Austrian cultures. Approximately 60% of South Tyrol is still German-speaking, 20% Italian-speaking and the Ladin language group accounts for 4%, including the municipality of Alta Badia and Val Badia.
The Tre Cime di Lavaredo (three peaks of Lavaredo) in the Dolomites in South Tyrol are probably the region’s most famous landmark. The unique beauty of this mountain range led UNESCO to declare it a World Heritage Site in 2009.
